Dampak pencemaran udara terhadap kesehatan masyarakat di perkotaan
Abstract
Prevention and control of air pollution is a crucial issue in urban areas because of its serious impact on public health. This article discusses the impact of preventing air pollution in urban areas on public health. Air pollution, caused primarily by motor vehicle emissions, industry, and the burning of fossil fuels, has been shown to cause an increase in respiratory diseases such as asthma and bronchitis, as well as heart disease and lung cancer. This impact is especially felt by vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions. Necessary preventive measures, such as the use of low-emission motor vehicles, energy diversification, and environmentally focused public policies, are urgently needed to reduce these negative impacts. This article argues the importance of proactive public policy and the role of society in improving air quality in cities. By implementing this solution, it is hoped that it can significantly reduce the burden of disease and improve the quality of life of urban communities.
