Pentingnya pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar untuk membangun generasi berintegritas
Abstract
Character education in primary schools plays a crucial role in shaping a generation of integrity and responsibility. Alongside academic knowledge, moral values and ethics are taught to children from an early age, forming a strong foundation for their lives. The complex challenges of globalization underscore the need for integrating character education into the primary school curriculum. Through various methods and strategies, such as integrating character values into the curriculum and involving parents, the implementation of character education becomes feasible. However, financial challenges, resistance, and difficulties in measuring program effectiveness remain obstacles to overcome. Nevertheless, its long-term impact on individual and societal development is significant. Character education in primary schools is not just about producing academically intelligent students but also individuals who are moral, responsible, and ready to face global challenges. With strong commitment from various stakeholders and ongoing evaluation, character education in primary schools can make a sustainable contribution to building a better future for individuals and society.
