Abstract

In the midst of uncertain global economic challenges, the emergence of government policies announcing an increase in fuel prices has brought about changes in the economic system. In the context of global economic challenges, this article analyzes the government's announcement of the increase in fuel prices. We investigate the social, economic, political, and cultural impacts of this policy using a methodology rooted in the social sciences. Economics explains relevant aspects of the policy, while sociology studies its impacts on society. Politics and communication sciences discuss political responses and public perceptions of the decision. This article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fuel price increase amidst the complexity of global economic challenges using this multidisciplinary approach. The impacts of economic policies on society can be examined; the influence of the fuel price hike, inflation, and the cost of living are felt as prices rise due to the impact of the fuel price increase, especially for low-income households. These effects necessitate wise policies to protect affected groups or communities. Furthermore, this article attempts to present a comprehensive analysis of the government's decision regarding the fuel price hike amid global economic challenges. By embracing these various perspectives, we can better understand the complexity of this policy and its impacts on society.
