Studi agama di Desa Jeru, Kecamatan Tumpang, Kabupaten Malang
Abstract
Religion is one of the basic human needs. In a society, religion becomes a supporting factor for spiritual life that influences traditions and social norms, even though the community already has long-standing habits and traditions that have been passed down. It does not rule out the possibility that habits that have become traditions meet with religion where both have the power to stand together. The existence of diverse traditions in religious practices and local traditions that apply in society is a necessity and becomes sunnatullah. The purpose of this study is to find out the social practice of religion in the author's hometown during Eid al-Fitr in Jeru village, Tumpang sub-district, Malang district and to find out the interpretation and implications according to the perspective of the sociology of religion. The research method used by the author in conducting the research is descriptive method and comparative method. The techniques used are direct observation, interview, location survey, and literature analysis. The object of this research is religious practices and local traditions that are still practiced by Jeru villagers. The results show that religious practices and local traditions in Jeru Village have implications on the behavior of the local community.
