Wacana politis dalam retorika Anies Baswedan perspektif ilmu linguistik
Abstract
Rhetoric plays a very strong role in shaping public perception. By using the right words and effective communication strategies, rhetoric can influence people's mindsets, responses, and emotions toward an issue or situation. In the context of an election year, understanding rhetoric becomes increasingly important. This understanding of rhetoric plays a crucial role in enhancing the public's critical thinking abilities and helps them make more informed political decisions. Linguistics studies the patterns of speakers in conveying a political context. The presence of implicatures, euphemisms, and the use of figures of speech aim to make the discourse context more directed. This paper will identify the patterns of linguistic strategies present in Anies Baswedan's speech delivered during the PHPU session at the Constitutional Court (MK).
