Peran komunikasi dalam mengatasi toxic parents bagi kesehatan mental anak
Abstract
Toxic parenting behaviors can have serious impacts on children's mental and emotional health. This research investigates strategies to address toxic parenting behaviors by increasing family communication. The methods include a literature review on toxic parenting patterns, their impacts on children, and the recurring cycles within families. Effective communication is seen as the key to changing detrimental parenting patterns. The research findings indicate that open and empathetic communication helps parents better understand their children's feelings and needs, as well as recognize their own toxic behaviors. Quality time together and non-judgmental listening were also found to play crucial roles in strengthening the emotional bond between parents and children. These steps not only help address current toxic parenting behaviors but also break cycles that may be passed down to future generations. In conclusion, a good family communication approach is an effective strategy to reduce toxic parenting behaviors and create a family environment that supports children's mental and emotional well-being.
