Pengaruh penggunaan Bahasa Inggris terhadap kepercayaan diri dalam public speaking
Abstract
English is a foreign language that is not the main language in Indonesia. English is not used as the main language, but English is a global language used in various fields. Therefore, the mastery of English is encouraged from an early age. It is expected to be able to compete globally. One of the things that is needed in the global age is not only technology but also the ability to communicate in public. Public speaking, as an important skill in communicating messages effectively to an audience, often requires the ability to speak in English. There is therefore a relationship between the use of English and confidence in public speaking. Public speaking requires language skills so that speakers can communicate ideas effectively and confidently. In addition to fluency in English, public speaking requires consistent experience and training in public speaking and English. The ability to speak English and to speak in public is not just a matter of practice; it requires a strategy so that consistent practice produces maximum results. In this way, mastery of the English language will have a significant impact on confidence in public speaking.
