Kondisi sosial dan keagamaan masyarakat arab sebelum Islam
Abstract
This essay explores the social and theological aspects of Arab society before the arrival of Islam, with particular emphasis on the customs, conventions, and values that prevailed during the Jahiliyah period. These values shape the Arab cultural lifestyle, including their beliefs, traditions, and customs. It is important to understand the events that shaped Islam, as these events have a strong socio-historical basis. To increase theoretical and practical understanding, this research evaluates various books related to pre-Islamic Arab conditions. The library research method was used. The results show that the law of the jungle was used by Arab society before the arrival of Islam, where the strong controlled and the weak were oppressed. People gain recognition through government, but they also face threats and government. Social and theological conditions are disorderly and incompatible. However, with the advent of Islam, the religious and social landscape became more organized and aligned with Islamic principles, which significantly reformed the social order and increased societal cohesion. This research emphasizes the great role of Islam in changing and organizing Arab society.
