Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the constitution or basic law in regulating the structure and values underlying national life in Indonesia, with a focus on the implementation of legal values, morals, and norms, as well as the challenges faced in the context of globalization and social change. This study uses a descriptive-analytical approach to analyze the contents of the Indonesian Constitution and the 1945 Constitution, by integrating axiological and normative perspectives put forward by experts, as well as a review of contemporary issues such as LGBT. In the context of the Indonesian constitution, understanding and implementing Pancasila values and legal norms are crucial to maintaining national consistency and identity, while still paying attention to global changes and ever-evolving social dynamics.
