Abstract

This study analyzed one of Edgar Allan Poe's literary, entitled Fall of the House of Usher, which was published in 1839. In this discussion, the writer focuses on psychological criticism, because there is a correlation with the storyline in the novel, which the main character has a psychiatric disorder. Thus literature criticism by carrying out the psychological that was proposed by Sigmund Freud. In this journal the writer tries to analyze The ID, the super ego and also the ego. There are analysis indicators through several critical questions and also some internalconflicts of the character, method, and result.
