Peristiwa kerasulan nabi muhammad saw.: turunnya wahyu pertama dan wahyu kedua
Abstract
The prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) marks a significant moment in Islamic history, beginning with the first and second revelations. The first revelation was received by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the Cave of Hira, when the Angel Jibril (Gabriel) delivered Allah’s message, consisting of the first five verses of Surah Al-'Alaq. This experience signaled the beginning of his appointment as a Prophet. The second revelation occurred after some time, during a period known as "fatrah" (the interval of revelation). In the second revelation, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received a command from Allah, through Angel Jibril, to begin preaching openly. These two events hold profound significance in the history of Islam’s spread. Through them, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) began spreading the teachings of monotheism and called humanity to worship Allah alone. This abstract discusses the events of the first and second revelations, their impact on the prophethood, and the importance of these revelations in the development of Islamic preaching.
