Abstract
Naturalization is a way to obtain citizenship under certain conditions. As has recently been discussed, namely the naturalization of soccer players. By using the literature method, this research aims to find out the purpose of naturalization, and create an inclusive society. This study examines the interests of the state in the naturalization of football players, the naturalization process as well as the granting of citizenship rights to naturalized players, with a deep understanding this article concludes that the naturalization of football players is carried out on the basis of the interests of the state, especially the progress of the Indonesian national team in the international realm. The potential of local players must also be maximized by improving the quality of football coaching.
