Tantangan Kontemporer dalam Mempertahankan Keberagaman Kebudayaan (Studi Kasus : Bantengan Di Kabupaten Malang)
Abstract
Indonesia as an archipelago has a rich diversity that includes various ethnic groups with unique and different mindsets, arts, religions, knowledge, languages, and local cultural traditions. This condition is a characteristic that enriches the identity of the Indonesian nation and makes this country a place where various cultures coexist and unite in diversity. Cultural diversity is a potential for the Indonesian state. One of Indonesia's cultural art performances is bantengan. This art creates an amazing harmony by combining elements of dance, kanuragan sports, music, and poetry/mantra, all of which imply a very strong magical nuance. This research aims to find out the history of bantengan art in Malang and the impact of the community on the art. The results of this paper show that cultural preservation in Malang Regency needs to be maintained even though it has a negative impact on society, but if it is addressed wisely for the cast, it will become a good value.
