Abstract
The FPI laskar shooting case in 2020 has caused a stir in Indonesia because it involved police officers who shot members of the FPI laskar and ended up killing 6 people. By using descriptive juridical legal methods, this research aims to find out in detail and thoroughly what are the factors that influence the strength of the alleged human rights case in the shooting of the FPI laskar in accordance with the law that has been regulated in law. This research also discusses the existence of alleged human rights violations marked by a statement from the National Human Rights Commission, the alleged extrajudicial killings with supporting factors as well as excessive forced defense, and SOPs that were not used. The factors mentioned do not make this case considered fair by the victim, because the victim felt that there were irregularities from the witnesses plus support from the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation who also stated that there were irregularities with the defendants who defended themselves when they were not in a threatened condition (not victims). With an in-depth understanding, this article provides a conclusion on the various aspects that support the allegation of a human rights case in this incident and the need for an in-depth investigation so that this case can be resolved fairly.
