Abstract

This article discusses the important role of reading with children as a strategy for building language intelligence. Using literature study methods, this research explores various academic sources and previous studies that show the benefits of reading in children's language development. The results of the study show that shared reading activities not only enrich children's vocabulary, but also improve understanding of language structures, as well as listening and speaking skills. In addition, the interactions that occur during reading strengthen the emotional bond between parents and children, as well as stimulating children's creativity and imagination. By getting used to reading from an early age, parents can provide a strong foundation for children to develop linguistically and socially. This article emphasizes the importance of parental involvement in the reading process as an investment in the child's future. This discussion also examines the positive impact of shared reading activities on the development of children's vocabulary, communication skills and imagination. In conclusion, reading with children is an important strategy for instilling a love of literacy and supporting children's optimal language and cognitive development.
