Abstract

The debate between science and religion often arises in various intellectual discussions, especially related to the understanding that the two are contradictory. However, from an Islamic perspective, science and religion should complement each other. This article discusses the integration of science and religion in Islamic education and its implications for the curriculum and character formation of students. This integration aims to create a generation that not only excels in science, but also has a solid moral and spiritual foundation. Even though it has many benefits, the implementation of this integration faces various challenges, such as paradigm differences between science and religion and resistance to curriculum changes. To overcome these obstacles, strategies such as thematic approaches, innovative learning methods, and the development of teaching materials that link science with Islamic values are needed. Thus, integrated Islamic education can produce individuals who are knowledgeable, have strong faith, and are able to apply their knowledge responsibly for the progress of the people and Islamic civilization.
