Abstract

The relationship between legal and political science is an important factor in the formation of positive law in Indonesia. Positive law cannot be separated from politics because the regulations made are often influenced by evolving political dynamics. Legal science functions as a norm regulator that ensures that the law remains fair and not just a tool for political interests. In addition, the concept of checks and balances in the legal system in Indonesia aims to prevent abuse of power by the executive and legislature. In the context of positive law, restrictions and supervision of political power are necessary to maintain a balance between law and political interests. Therefore, the coherence between legal and political science in positive law plays an important role in creating a legal system that is fair, democratic, and responsive to social and political changes.
