Analisis permasalahan integrasi dalam sains dan agama
Abstract
Integration of religious knowledge and rational knowledge in the world of education is still a major challenge. Society often separates religion and rational knowledge as two unrelated fields, thus giving rise to a dichotomous mindset, especially in the world of education. Integration of Islamic Religious Education with rational knowledge can be seen at three levels, namely: philosophy, material, and learning strategies. At the philosophical level, it is directed at creating graduates who excel in science and technology (IPTEK) and faith and piety (IMTAK). At the material level, the concept of Islamic Religious Education is linked to subjects such as science, mathematics, social sciences, and citizenship so that students understand that Islam is a source of knowledge. At the learning strategy level, teachers use verses from the Qur'an and hadith to instill a deep understanding in students, so that they are motivated to think critically, innovatively, and creatively. This approach also encourages understanding that Islam is a source of knowledge and life values, as explained in the Qur'an and Hadith. This integration faces various challenges such as lack of teacher competence, limited access to education, stigma against science, and learning methods that are still traditional. Therefore, solutions are needed such as improving teacher quality through training, curriculum reform, utilization of technology, and the application of a holistic approach that connects theory with real-life practices. With structured efforts, this integration can produce a generation that is not only academically intelligent but also has noble morals and strong spiritual awareness.
