Abstract

The development of the financial industry in Indonesia presents new challenges and opportunities for Islamic banks. This journal aims to analyze effective risk management strategies for Islamic banks in facing digital transformation in an era of increasingly advanced technology. Using a qualitative descriptive approach based on literature studies, this study identifies various types of digital risks such as cyber risk, digital operational risk, risk of compliance with sharia principles, and reputation risk faced by Islamic banks. This article discusses the risk management strategies of Islamic banks in facing the challenges of digitalization of financial services, as well as how to maintain compliance with sharia principles. The results of the analysis show that strengthening digital security infrastructure, increasing literacy and competence of human resources, and active collaboration with regulators and the Sharia Supervisory Board are key strategies in responding to digital challenges. In addition, the importance of integration between technology and sharia values in every innovation is also emphasized in order to maintain public trust and the sustainability of the institution. This study provides recommendations for Islamic bank managers to formulate innovative and responsive risk management strategies to the development of digital technology without ignoring the basic principles of sharia, so that they can contribute optimally to the progress of the Islamic financial sector in Indonesia.
