Abstract
This study examines the learning process of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at Madrasah Ibtida’iyah (MI) Al Ma’arif 05 Banjararum, located in Malang Regency. The focus of this study is to explore teaching methods, learning media used, obstacles and solutions in teaching SKI in the school. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a single case study and library research. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and observations of the learning process. The results of the study indicate that the dominant teaching methods used are lectures and storytelling, with the use of learning media such as pictures to help students understand the material. Teachers also apply interactive approaches, such as question and answer with prizes and group-based learning to increase student engagement. However, limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as challenges in managing student attention, are obstacles to learning. For this reason, teachers continue to strive to improve their competence through literacy and workshops to optimize the quality of teaching.
