Potensi Bunga Telang (Clitorea ternatea L.) dalam Mengontrol Glukosa Darah pada Penderita Diabetes: Literatur Review
Abstract
Hiperglikemia merupakan tantangan utama pada pasien diabetes, memerlukan terapi yang efektif dan aman. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi potensi bunga telang (Clitorea ternatea L.) sebagai agen antidiabetes melalui tinjauan literatur. Berdasarkan delapan artikel, ekstrak bunga telang terbukti efektif menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dengan meningkatkan produksi dan sekresi insulin, serta memiliki efek antioksidan dan antiinflamasi. Kandungan flavonoid, fenolik, dan antosianin dalam bunga telang berperan penting dalam aktivitas ini. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa bunga telang memiliki potensi sebagai terapi alternatif yang aman bagi penderita diabetes. Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut pada populasi manusia untuk memvalidasi hasil ini
