Teknologi bukan ancaman
Katalisator lapangan kerja baru yang inklusif bagi generasi muda
Abstract
Globalization and the fourth industrial revolution (4.0) have fundamentally changed the economic and social landscape. The driving factors are the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and cloud computing. Concerns are spreading among young people, becoming a popular issue regarding the loss of traditional jobs due to rapid digital automation. However, this narrative often ignores the other side of the digital coin, which is that technology is the most productive machine in creating new jobs that were unimaginable a decade ago, regarding the rapid development of digitalization. Technology is the main catalyst that drives the creation of more flexible, unique skills-based, and sustainable jobs for the younger generation, while also challenging them to transform from mere consumers into digital creators. There must be major changes now, in which the younger generation must dominate so that our country can catch up with other countries that have been implementing automation for several years, long before our country began designing, researching, and planning for globalization.
