Poverty in Indonesia is not merely perceived as an individual material deficit but is a manifest result of term structural sin embedded within an asymmetric and unjust economic system. This article explores the role of Islamic Economic Theology as a spiritual and ethical foundation for driving social transformation through productive waqf instruments amidst the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The primary driver of this study is the ambivalence of digitalization, which serves as a double-edged sword, accelerating economic growth while simultaneously trapping the lower class in digital debt cycles and predatory online lending. This paper argues that Islamic revivalism must be redirected toward concrete economic empowerment by functionally repositioning waqf from a consumptive orientation religious physical infrastructure toward a productive model, such as strategic investments in education, modern agriculture, and MSME development. Utilizing a descriptive-analytical approach, the study concludes that strengthening a professionally, accountably, and transparently managed productive waqf ecosystem by competent Nazhirs is a fundamental solution to breaking the chains of structural poverty. The optimization of this system is critical for achieving inclusive social justice and ensuring the sustainable economic independence of the Ummah in the future.
