Bencana banjir bandang diwilayah sumatera, karena ulah manusia dalam perspektif tafsir surah ar-rum ayat 41
Abstract
Flash floods, which have been occurring more frequently in Sumatra in recent years, have caused increasing damage and significant impacts, mainly due to environmental changes caused by human activities. This study examines the factors causing flash floods in Sumatra from an ecological perspective and relates them to the interpretation of Surah Ar-Rum verse 41. The verse explains that damage to the land and sea is the result of human actions, so that natural disasters cannot be separated from the continuous environmental damage that occurs. A review of the literature and an examination of classical and modern interpretations show that human activities such as deforestation, irresponsible mining practices, changes in land use, and poor watershed management are the main causes of the increased risk of flash floods. The Qur'anic perspective emphasizes the moral responsibility of humans as guardians of nature to maintain the balance of the ecosystem. Therefore, religious understanding and scientific knowledge can support each other in designing more comprehensive disaster risk reduction strategies. This study is expected to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and encourage the creation of more sustainable policies.
