Gerakan radikalisme era sekarang
Abstract
Islamic theology began to emerge and develop from the results and impacts of political turmoil and territorial expansion. The initial groups were the Khawarij and Shi'a, a political dispute resulting from the tahkim event between Ali ibn Abi Talib and Muawiyah. Then the Murji'ah school emerged as a response to the Khawarij and Shi'ah. The Murji'ah itself has several small sects such as the Jabbariyyah. The issue of qadar or destiny became the reason for the emergence of the Qadariyah group and also the answer to the school of thought adopted by the rulers for political legitimacy and emphasized the people's freedom of will. During the Abbasid dynasty, Greek philosophy was translated widely, sparking in-depth rational debate. The main school was the Mu'tazilah, namely the rationalists. The Ash'ariyah and Maturidiyah (Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah) emerged as a response to the extremism of the Mu'tazilah.
