Pengembangan kompetensi bahasa dan orientasi karir gen z: integrasi pelatihan, belajar mandiri, dan narasi keluarga
Abstract
Generation Z lives in a global era that demands strong language skills and high career readiness in order to adapt and compete both academically and professionally. Strengthening language proficiency does not rely solely on formal learning processes, but also on support from a broader educational ecosystem. This study integrates three key elements in competency development community-based training, self-directed learning, and family narratives which serve as the foundation for shaping language abilities and career orientation among Generation Z. Community-based training provides space for real and collaborative language practice, while self-directed learning enables students to refine their skills through digital technologies, learning management, and self-regulation. Meanwhile, family narratives play a role in building motivation, confidence, and career goals through emotional support and positive values. The combination of these three elements indicates that language skills and career orientation develop more effectively when learning is carried out through a multi-role approach involving schools, communities, and families simultaneously. This model not only strengthens language proficiency but also fosters lifelong learner characteristics that align with the demands of the modern workforce. The findings of thisstudy affirm that educational strategies for Generation Z need to focus on cross-environment collaboration, efficient use of technology, and sustained social support from families to create a comprehensive learning process.
