Abstract

The Great Jami' Mosque of Malang City is one of the largest and historical mosques in Malang City, which has an important role in community life.  This research aims to describe and analyze the strategies and efforts made by the takmir of the Jami' Mosque of Malang City in cultivating religious traditions among the urban young generation.  The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of shifting interest of the younger generation in religious activities due to the influence of modernization and digital culture. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through field observations, interviews, and documentation with triangulation techniques as data validation. The results showed that the Jami' Mosque of Malang City implemented various adaptive strategies, including through organizing interactive da'wah podcasts on Madinah FM, preserving the tradition of routine Diba' recitation, daily Islamic studies, and utilizing social media and cooperation with youth communities.  These approaches have succeeded in making the mosque an inclusive and attractive space for young people to actively participate in religious activities. This study concludes that innovation based on local context and digital culture can be a bridge in maintaining and revitalizing religious traditions in the modern era.
