Peran pendidikan pesantren dalam memperkuat akhlakul karimah mahasiswa alumni pesantren di era digital

The rapid development of information technology and social media has brought significant changes to students’ behavioral patterns and social interactions, which may influence their moral and religious values. This article aims to analyze the role of pesantren education in strengthening akhlakul karimah among university students who are pesantren alumni. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, with data sources derived from relevant scientific journals, books, and articles. The results indicate that pesantren education plays an important role in shaping akhlakul karimah through the implementation of Islamic values such as honesty, discipline, and responsibility. However, the influence of social media, uncontrolled social interactions, and a lack of self-control are factors that can weaken the application of these values. Therefore, strengthening efforts are needed through continuous guidance, improved digital literacy, and the creation of a conducive social environment to ensure that the values of akhlakul karimah are maintained.
