The digitalization of the Kitab Kuning in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is a strategic step to improve accessibility and preserve classical manuscripts, yet this process faces significant challenges regarding originality and scholarly authority. This study aims to conduct a systematic analysis of curriculum management policies in the digitalization of Kitab Kuning and identify the resulting challenges to originality. Utilizing an integrative literature review approach, the study finds that the orientation of pesantren curriculum management is integrative-holistic, combining traditional, digital, and critical literacies. The primary challenges identified include the potential decline in textual authenticity, the erosion of the talaqqi method, and threats to the chain of scholarly transmission (sanad) due to reduced direct interaction between teachers and students. Proposed management strategies involve the selective use of technology at the operational level, enhancing the digital literacy of educators, and strengthening governance through coordinated institutional policies. The study concludes that the success of digital transformation in pesantren heavily depends on the balance between technological innovation and the preservation of traditional originality.
