This study aims to examine the effectiveness of existential counseling interventions in addressing future anxiety among university students through a literature review approach. Future anxiety is a common psychological issue experienced by students due to academic pressure, career uncertainty, and a lack of clear life goals. This condition negatively impacts learning motivation, concentration, and overall psychological well-being. Existential counseling is considered a relevant approach as it emphasizes meaning-making, self-awareness, freedom, and personal responsibility in facing life challenges. The findings indicate that existential counseling techniques, such as exploration of life meaning, self-reflection, acceptance of anxiety, and value-based decision making, are effective in helping students manage future anxiety more adaptively. This approach not only reduces anxiety symptoms but also assists individuals in developing a deeper understanding of themselves and their life direction. Therefore, existential counseling can serve as an effective intervention to enhance students' mental health in the face of future uncertainty.
