Tes intelegensi dalam perspektif psikologi
Keywords:
Intelligence, intelligence theories, intelligence tests, cognitive ability, psychological assessmentAbstract
Intelligence is a mental ability that involves thinking, understanding, learning, reasoning, and problem solving, and plays an important role in various fields, particularly education, employment, and clinical psychology. This study aims to examine the concept of intelligence, theories of intelligence, factors influencing intelligence, as well as the classification and types of intelligence tests used in psychological practice. This paper employs a literature review method by analyzing relevant books and scientific journal articles. The findings indicate that intelligence is not a single ability, but a multidimensional construct influenced by genetic, environmental, physical, emotional, and experiential factors. Various theories of intelligence explain cognitive abilities from different perspectives, including factor theories, hierarchical models, and triarchic approaches. In addition, numerous intelligence tests have been developed to assess cognitive abilities across different age groups, cultural backgrounds, and special needs populations. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of intelligence and its measurement is essential to ensure accurate interpretation and effective application of intelligence test results in educational and psychological contexts.
