Jihaaz an-nuthqi wa al-ashwat al-‘arabiyyah

Language plays an important role in communication, especially in learning Arabic, which requires accurate pronunciation. This article aims to discuss jihaaz an-nuṭhqi, ashwat al-‘arabiyyah, and the process of producing Arabic speech sounds. This study employed a literature review method with a qualitative descriptive approach through the analysis of books, journals, and other relevant scientific sources. The results show that jihaaz an-nuṭhqi consists of the lungs, larynx, vocal cords, tongue, lips, nasal cavity, and palate, which work together in producing speech sounds. The process of producing Arabic sounds occurs through the stages of respiration, phonation, and articulation, resulting in sound variations based on makhraj and the characteristics of the letters. These findings indicate that understanding speech organs and Arabic sounds can help improve pronunciation accuracy and Arabic speaking skills.Downloads
