The main focus of this research is to analyze the contribution and impact of Emotional Intelligence on the decision-making process among Generation Z students in the digital era. The development of digital technology and social media has various impacts on students’ emotional conditions, such as stress, social anxiety, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), and impulsive behavior in decision-making. The literature review approach within a qualitative methodology framework is used as the main instrument in carrying out this research, which is taken from various journals and books, and previous studies related to Emotional Intelligence and student decision-making. The results of the study show that emotional intelligence has an important influence in helping students control emotions, think rationally, reduce impulsive behavior, and improve social communication and problem-solving skills. The five components of Emotional Intelligence, namely self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills, have an important role in improving the quality of decision-making among Generation Z students in the digital era. Students with high Emotional Intelligence tend to be more capable of dealing with social media pressure, controlling emotions, and considering the impacts of decisions carefully. A wiser and more responsible attitude in anticipating challenges in the digital era can be realized by students through efforts to form and develop optimal Emotional Intelligence.
