Konsep dasar uang dalam perspektif ekonomi islam
Analisis fungsi dan nilai dalam sistem keuangan modern
Abstract
Money in Islamic economics is viewed as a medium of exchange used to support real economic activities, not as a commodity for profit through usury or speculation. This study uses a library research method, reviewing various literature, scientific journals, and references related to Islamic economics and the modern financial system. The results of the discussion indicate that the function of money in Islamic economics is not only as a means of transaction, but also has social and moral dimensions through the principles of justice, wealth distribution, zakat, alms, and sharia investment. The development of modern financial systems such as financial digitalization, fintech, cryptocurrency, and e-money presents new challenges to the implementation of the concept of money in Islam. Nevertheless, Islamic economics remains able to provide solutions through the application of sharia principles, profit-sharing systems, strengthening the real sector, and prohibiting usury, gharar, and maysir. Therefore, the concept of money from an Islamic economic perspective is considered relevant in facing the development of the modern financial system because it is able to create economic stability, equitable distribution of welfare, and social balance in society.
