The purpose of this article is to investigate the concept of the hiwar method within Islamic education and to analyze its importance for integration into Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning processes. This qualitative study utilizes a library research methodology. Data were collected from pertinent sources such as books, scientific journals, and book chapters related to the hiwar method's integration in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), then analyzed through content analysis techniques. Results demonstrate that hiwar constitutes a dialogical approach grounded in the Qur'an and Sunnah, supported theoretically by Islamic education scholars. The method is effective in developing critical thinking, communication, argumentation, and discussion etiquette. Hiwar can be integrated into PAI through question-and-answer sessions, group discussions, reflections, and demonstrations on the topics of akidah, worship, and ethics. The implementation of this method makes PAI learning more interactive, contextual, and meaningful, and supports the formation of religious, intelligent, and well-rounded students in line with the objectives of Islamic education.
