Optimalisasi fasilitas pendidikan: Implementasi manajemen sarana dan prasarana dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di madrasah

Abstract

The crucial role of facility and infrastructure management in promoting academic success in Islamic schools is the primary focus of this study. This research was designed to evaluate and identify the implementation of facility and infrastructure management with the aim of improving quality standards in madrasahs. The discussion is structured around managerial stages, starting with strategic planning, procurement processes, inventory records, routine maintenance, and policies for disposing of obsolete equipment. Although good facilities are directly related to classroom comfort, student motivation, and teacher performance, in reality, many madrasahs still face various problems. Many of these educational institutions face challenges such as limited funding, a lack of trained personnel, and the slow adoption of information technology. Using descriptive-qualitative methods, it was revealed that collaboration between the government budget (DIPA) and contributions from madrasah committees is a strategic solution to address funding shortages in a transparent manner. Furthermore, the use of digital applications for asset reporting has had a positive impact on orderly administration. As a recommendation, madrasahs need to change their management practices to build an ecosystem that supports collaborative maintenance, thereby maintaining the sustainability of educational facilities and achieving sustainable madrasah quality.
