Abstract

Zakat, fasting, and the Hajj are the main acts of worship among the five pillars of Islam, serving to establish human relationships with God and with others. Zakat is a socio-economic act of worship to purify wealth and the soul, and to realize justice through the distribution of wealth to the deserving. Its types include zakat fitrah, wealth, agriculture, trade, and profession, which are obligatory if the requirements of nisab, haul, and full ownership are met. Fasting during the month of Ramadan is an act of worship that involves abstaining from eating, drinking, and other things that invalidate the fast from dawn to sunset. This act of worship trains self-control, patience, and piety, as well as benefits health and increases gratitude. The Hajj is the highest form of worship physically, mentally, and spiritually, obligatory for those who are able to perform the pillars in Mecca. Its purpose is to perfect the pillars of Islam, strengthen monotheism, erase sins, and strengthen brotherhood among the people without distinction of status. This study aims to understand the meaning, requirements, types, and special features of these three acts of worship. The results show that they are not merely rituals, but have real impacts on social, economic, health, and spiritual aspects, forming pious individuals and a just and harmonious society.
