Pembelajaran bahasa arab berbasis teori kognitif
Dari menghafal ke memahami
Keywords:
Cognitive theory, cognitive learning, students' thinking, learning methods, memorizationAbstract
Arabic language learning today still largely relies on memorization methods, resulting in students’ understanding often being less than optimal. This study aims to analyze how the application of cognitive theory in Arabic language learning can improve students’ comprehension. Cognitive theory emphasizes mental processes in learning, such as understanding, remembering, and processing information. By using a literature study method and reviewing various relevant sources, this study finds that the application of cognitive theory can increase student engagement, deepen conceptual understanding, and make learning more meaningful. Therefore, a shift is needed from a memorization-based approach to an approach that focuses on understanding in Arabic language teaching in an effective and sustainable manner for students.
