This article discusses the role of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in developing a generation that possesses both Islamic values and a strong sense of nationalism amid the challenges of globalization. The study aims to describe the fundamental values that should be instilled from the elementary level so that students can grow into religious, disciplined, polite, and patriotic individuals. This research employed a literature review method by examining various scholarly sources related to the Ulul Albab character concept, the integration of science and Islam, and the professionalism of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers. The findings reveal that character education becomes more effective when curriculum implementation, teacher role models, school culture, and family support work together harmoniously. Islamic character is nurtured through the habituation of worship, moral conduct, and responsibility, while national character is strengthened through attitudes of tolerance, obedience to rules, and social awareness. Through this approach, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah has the potential to produce a generation that is morally upright, intellectually capable, adaptive to modern developments, and firmly rooted in Indonesian identity.
