The fluctuating dynamics of global financial markets pose a significant challenge to Islamic banking. This study aims to analyze market risk mitigation strategies to maintain the financial stability of Islamic banking institutions through a conceptual analysis approach. The analysis shows that Islamic market risk has unique characteristics due to its direct exposure to real assets in sale and purchase contracts such as Murabahah, Salam, and Istishna, as well as the complexity of profit-sharing schemes (PLS). Furthermore, Islamic banks face challenges in the form of limited hedging instruments due to the prohibition of gharar and maysir, as well as the emergence of Displaced Commercial Risk (DCR). Recommended mitigation strategies include setting strict investment limits, portfolio diversification across sectors, utilizing Real-Time System (RTS) technology for macroeconomic monitoring, and establishing reserves such as the Profit Equalization Reserve (PER). Implementation of these strategies, supported by active supervision by the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS), is crucial to maintaining the moral integrity and financial resilience of Islamic banks amidst global market volatility.
