Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of a religious-based character development program in strengthening the Graduate Competency Standards (SKL) at Panjura High School, Malang. The study was conducted using qualitative methods using observation and interviews with teachers, students, and school officials to gain a deep understanding of the program's implementation. The results showed that character development was integrated through positive behavioral habits, religious activities according to each student's religion, guidance and counseling from guidance counselors, and social activities and student organizations. These findings revealed that the program was able to foster spiritual and social attitudes that align with the SKL requirements, such as discipline, integrity, tolerance, and a sense of responsibility. The multireligious school environment was also proven to support the creation of harmonious and inclusive interactions. Overall, religious-based character development plays a significant role in shaping students who not only excel academically but also mature morally and behave ethically. This study confirms that the success of character development is greatly influenced by the consistency of the program and the exemplary behavior of all school components.
