Abstract

The culture of Islam has influenced the design and function of architecture to some extent, integrating values such as monotheism, simplicity, and balance into the aesthetics and function of buildings. Elements such as repetitive geometry, Arabic calligraphy, the social function of mosques, and the separation of private and public spaces have reflected deep Islamic principles. Islamic architectural heritage has made great contributions to global architecture, both through structural innovations and humane urbanism approaches, such as urban planning based on the concept of madinah. Therefore, the preservation and understanding of Islamic architectural heritage is very important, as it not only preserves the physical buildings, but also the spiritual, social, and cultural values contained with in them.
