Harmonisasi kearifan lokal dan manajemen dalam mitigasi bencana gempa bumi
Studi kasus di Desa Nuwewang Kabupaten Maluku Barat
Abstract
One of the most frequent natural disasters in the world, including in Indonesia, is earthquakes. Due to its complex tectonic framework, Indonesia is highly vulnerable to tectonic earthquakes. As it is located at the confluence of three of the world's major tectonic plates, Southwest Maluku Regency is one of the areas in Indonesia most frequently affected by earthquakes. In an effort to mitigate earthquake disasters in Southwest Maluku Regency, this research investigates how local wisdom and disaster mitigation management are integrated. This case study takes place in Nuwewang Village located in Southwest Maluku Regency. The community's infrastructure, spatial layout, local culture and existing mitigation practices were evaluated. The people of Nuwewang Village built earthquake-resistant houses with local wisdom. They also maintain the tradition of gotong royong and local wisdom in dealing with disasters. By utilizing local wisdom and modern technology together, a more holistic and effective approach to earthquake disaster mitigation can be created.
