This article emphasizes the importance of counseling guidance as a subject at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) or Elementary School (SD) level. Guidance counseling plays a role in understanding students' attitudes and psychological development, as well as helping teachers identify and address student problems. Counseling, especially behavioristic counseling, aims to help students develop adaptive behaviors through structured learning methods. Primary education as the foundation of formal education focuses on basic abilities and fundamental skills, which are strengthened by the integration of counseling guidance to prepare students for secondary education. Behavioristic counseling uses approaches such as operant learning, social models, cognitive learning, and emotional learning to help students overcome behavioral problems and achieve better development. Thus, counseling guidance at the elementary level is a strategic step in creating an effective and adaptive learning environment.Downloads
