Identifikasi keanekaragaman spesies kupu-kupu Ordo Lepidoptera di Taman Cahaya Pakal Surabaya
Abstract
Butterflies are winged insects belonging to the Order Lepidoptera (scaly wings) and have attractive patterns and colors so they are easy to recognize. This research was carried out with the aim of identifying the diversity of butterfly species of the Order Lepidoptera in Cahaya Pakal Park, Surabaya. The research results showed that 11 butterfly species had been identified, with Danaus chrysippus being the most dominant species. Diversity and dominance analysis shows a low level of diversity in Cahaya Pakal Park, Surabaya. However, the presence of butterflies is still an important indicator in maintaining ecosystem sustainability and environmental balance. This research highlights the importance of preserving butterfly diversity as an integral part of the ecosystem. By maintaining butterfly populations, we also maintain the sustainability of the various ecological functions they perform, including pollination and maintaining environmental balance.
