Abstract

Nutraceuticals are substances in food that provide medical benefits. Many types of food are classified as
nutraceutical, one of which is dimsum. Dimsum is a typical Chinese steamed food that is often served as a
ready meal. Indonesia has a population of 15 million people with hypertension with 4% having controlled
hypertension and 90% having essential hypertension. For treatment, people with hypertension often use
drugs that have side effects on the elderly in Karangnongko village. So the effort made is to make
nutraceutical products that are useful for the prevention and reduction of hypertension using Moringa leaves to minimize the use of pharmacological drugs. Moringa leaves contain many substances that are good for healthy blood pressure, one of which is potassium and potassium. The implementation method used in this training activity is the counseling method and direct practice for PKK mothers in Karangnongko village. The result of this activity is that PKK Karangnongko village women can understand alternative ways of preventing and treating hypertension by utilizing Moringa leaves as processed nutraceutical snacks that are delicious and healthy. The purpose of this training is to broaden the knowledge and skills of PKK women in Karangnongko Village regarding processed nutraceutical food made from Moringa leaves and to gradually
improve the health of the elderly with delicious food preparations.
