Modernisasi pendidikan Islam

Abstract
In this article the author discusses the modernization of education in Islamic boarding schools. This study is considered interesting because it discusses various important aspects, one of the aspect is the integration of the school curriculum with Islamic boarding schools, the use of foreign languages as the language of instruction, and the application of relevant learning theory. The author uses the critical analysis method by examining various related sources, taking sample data from the questionnaire results, as well as the results of interviews from one of the alumni of the institution related. This research is aimed at exploring the modernization of Islamic Education that has been implemented at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School. based on the results of research and case studies, the authors take conclusions that the application of English learning in related institutions is one big step towards realizing the modernization of Islamic education. Within this step, students are expected to be able to compete in the global arena and well prepared to face a modern era.
