Keterkaitan antara ilmu pengetahuan dan agama Islam
Abstract
This paper explores the relationship between science and Islam, highlighting four key points. Firstly, through a historical lens, it showcases the rapid advancement of knowledge during Islam's Golden Age, attributed to the contributions of Muslim scholars and scientists across various domains. Secondly, it underscores the harmony of concepts between Islamic principles and scientific approaches, such as 'tafakkur' (contemplation) and the concept of 'ayat' (signs) in the Quran. Thirdly, it addresses the boundaries and compatibility between science and Islam, emphasizing the need for contextual interpretations to bridge differences. Fourthly, contemporary debates including the creation vs. evolution discourse and ethical concerns in technology underscore the intricate nature of this relationship in the modern era. In conclusion, through open dialogue and deeper understanding, a balanced relationship between science and Islam can enrich human insights into the universe and its Creator.
