Implementasi “merdeka belajar kampus merdeka” pada program studi pendidikan bahasa Arab UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang
Abstract
This article reviews the implementation of the concept of independent learning on an independent campus in the Arabic Language Education study program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This study aims to describe the implementation, and the impact of implementing the independent curriculum on the Arabic Language Education study program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This type of research is qualitative research, while the research instrument is observation of the implementation of MBKM, interviews. The subjects of this study were Arabic Language Education students in 2023 and the UIN Malang MBKM guidebook. The result is that there are two forms of implementation of this independent curriculum 1). Implementation within the university is taking courses outside the study program (transdisciplinary courses) 2). Implementation outside the university is teaching in the Education unit, Thematic Real Work Lectures (KKNT). There are several obstacles related to the implementation of MBKM, namely the independent curriculum that has not been evenly distributed in education units, survey readiness, uncertain MoU, and inappropriate implementation time. So that UIN Malang must carry out evaluations and improvements related to this concept and must also hold an official MoU before holding the MBKM program at home and abroad.
