Pentingnya literasi kesehatan mental dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat
Abstract
Health is very important for human life, not only in terms of physical health but also mental health, this is not specifically mentioned by World Health Organization (WHO) data which shows the number of people suffering from anxiety disorders continues to increase throughout the world. And more than 300 million people suffer from depression. Unipolar depressive disorder also ranks 9th out of 20 major diseases. The number of people suffering from mental disorders is also very high in several provinces in Indonesia, including Central Java, with an incidence rate of 2.3 per thousand, compared to the national average of 1.7 per thousand. It can be concluded that mental health also deserves special attention, partly because it has a negative impact not only on individuals but also on other communities. However, unfortunately, Indonesia does not yet have a specific policy for mental health management because the legal basis is inadequate.
